چکیده
Objective: Ischemic stroke is one of the common neurological pathology. Identifying risk factors and treating cardiac pathologies play an important role in preventing ischemic stroke. In this study, we aimed to examine relationship between transthoracic echocardiography findings, localization ischemia etiology stroke.
Methods: We included 149 patients with who were followed up at Neurology Department ?zmir Katip Çelebi University Atatürk Training Research Hospital January 2018-January 2019. Demographic characteristics patients, stroke, presence arrhythmias, electrocardiography findings recorded these parameters examined.
Results: enrolled 81 female (54.4%) 68 male (45.6%) study. The mean age was 68.03?12.35. 84.6% have atherosclerotic and15.4% cardioembolic most factor hyperlipidemia. Atrial fibrillation detected 21.1% patients. While atrial more smoking Although had multiple prior almost half did not use any antiaggregant or anticoagulant therapy. Cardioembolic strokes positively correlated greater left atrium width. There no correlation location.
Conclusion: Determination investigation pathologies, applying appropriate treatments are terms both new recurrent development.

The Relation between GABA and L-Arginine Levels with some Stroke Risk Factors in Acute Ischemic Stroke Patients
Changes in extra and intracellular neurotransmitter amino acids concentration in the early stage of acute cerebral ischemia have been reported. In this the study, serum level of gamma aminobutyric acid (GABA) and L-Arginine in acute ischemic stroke patients was assessed. 60 patients with acute ischemic stroke and sixthy healthy volunteers as a control group were assessed. Serum GABA was measure...
متن کاملTherapy implications of transthoracic echocardiography in acute ischemic stroke patients.
BACKGROUND AND PURPOSE Stroke is the third leading cause of death in most Western countries. Cardioembolism might be responsible for 15% to 20% of ischemic strokes. Although atrial fibrillation can be diagnosed by electrocardiography, the remaining causes of cardioembolic stroke are diagnosed by echocardiography. Recent recommendations on the management of acute ischemic stroke fail to consider...

Background: Stroke is a multifactorial disorder, the most common cause being arterial occlusion. Transcranial Doppler Ultrasonography (TCD) is a common non-invasive method available for assessment the arterial blood flow of the brain. Objective: Assessment the hemodynamic parameters of cerebral arteries, using TCD device in patients suffering ischemic stroke. Materials and Methods: This descr...
